JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator, Biomedical Graduate Programs will work collaboratively with the Senior Marketing Coordinator, Financial Administrator, and Biomedical Program Coordinators to execute on recruitment and enrollment needs for the Biomedical Graduate programs on the School of Medicine campus, working to extend the efforts of our programs to ensure that the applicant pool for all programs is of excellent quality and quantity. The Marketing Coordinator will be a creator of web and social media content for the Biomedical Graduate Programs and will both attend and coordinate the office’s presence at graduate recruitment events and fairs. Additional duties of this position include social media calendar management, research and data entry in support of list maintenance, interacting with prospective students across all platforms, outreach to feeder schools, and reviewing/updating marketing collateral.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- In collaboration with the Senior Marketing Coordinator and the Academic Marketing & Communications team, schedule and deploy social media messaging in support of building the quantity and quality of applications to our 18 PhD and MS biomedical graduate programs. Leverages the Wake Forest brand and culture to increase the quality and quantity of applicant pools for each graduate program.
- Manages inventory of all printed, web, and recruitment materials, including program brochures, social media accounts, and branded novelty items, updates content as requested or necessary. Serves as a primary point-of-contact with Web team and provides updates to assigned webpage content. Reports on recruiting campaigns and suggests changes to Senior Marketing Coordinator and Director.
- Maintains marketing lists of prospective students, distributors, and alumni through customer relationship management tools. Prepares agendas for and manages campus visits for prospective students. Leverages knowledge of Wake Forest graduate programs to recruit students ideally suited to the School’s programs.
- Supports the Senior Marketing Coordinator in all aspects of pipeline development/recruiting efforts, including participating in virtual information sessions, graduate school-wide fairs/open houses and undergraduate college events, and exhibits. Arranges materials and staff to attend undergraduate college events. Professionally represents Wake Forest as a recruiter and an ambassador, displaying impeccable judgment and a service-first mentality.
- Assists in all aspects of Orientation and Onboarding for incoming biomedical graduate students, shepherding incoming students through these processes to ensure full compliance with pre-orientation and institutional onboarding requirements through orientation. Verifies that enrollment requirements are met, e.g., background checks, official transcripts. Monitors deployment of messaging to incoming students. Participates in annual review and update to all triggered messaging, updates messaging templates upon request.
- Responds to direct requests from applicants & accepted students through phone, email, and assisting visitors in the office. Resolves complex situations with applicants and other constituents regarding requirements for admission, interview, and/or onboarding.
- As assigned, performs other duties related to the mission of the Biomedical Graduate Programs Office at the School of Medicine

- Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, scheduling software)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field.
