What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator II position at Wake Forest Baptist Health?
The major responsibilities of this position are to:
- Serve as the first point of contact for international partners and visitors, and as a liaison between WFUSM and various local and global partners to ensure completion of program objectives and program deliverables in a timely fashion.
- Manage and coordinate existing and new Student Global Health Education and International Elective opportunities at WFUSM campuses (Winston-Salem and Charlotte).
- Coordinate the longitudinal Global Health Education Curriculum and Certificate Program for Learners and Faculty.
- Manage and coordinate existing and new International Exchange Programs and Learning Partnerships for learners and faculty.
- Oversee the clearance process of visiting clinicians, researchers and learners to the Medical Center collaborating with Contingent Workforce, Teammate Health and Departmental Contacts.
- Maintain operations of the Global Health Houses for visiting international scholars and learners.
- Manage monitoring and evaluation activities related to evidence-based Global Health programming activities including certificate programs, exchange programs, endowments and other related Global Health programs for learners and faculty.
- Provide administrative support and management of all OGH existing strategic plans and related activities including event planning support for the annual global health symposium, arrange meetings, workshops and other events, coordination of complex schedules, and funding applications for learners and faculty.
- Additional responsibilities as needed including travel to WFUSM Charlotte Campus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree plus one-year experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: N/A
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Participates in the design, development, and promotion assigned program. Takes primary responsibility for the organization, effectiveness, and recognition of participant completion of the program(s).
2. Contacts and works with internal leadership, various departments, other medical centers, social and civic organizations, support organizations, and community leaders to develop support for and implement the program(s) or educational activity.
3. Designs educational and promotional materials, plans and develops the curriculum and agenda for programs, seminars and workshops.
4. Plans delivery of information for target population. Delivers or coordinates the delivery of educational materials, and conduct workshops.
5. Recruits volunteers for program, develops training materials, trains and supervises volunteers in conducting or assisting with educational activities.
6. Performs major coordination of activities - plans for location/accommodations, negotiates costs, assures that information is received by presenters and participants, and assures that all necessary equipment is coordinated for presentations/courses given.
7. Attends all program activities, as applicable.
8. Collects data for program evaluation, designs data collection forms and reports information as required.
9. Coordinates the work of other program or departmental personnel in the completion of clerical activities related to the program(s).
