Job Summary:
Prepares and delivers food trays to patients, processes meal requests, and handles diet orders using a computer system. Provides fast and accurate service to customers, both in person and over the phone. Prepares nourishment orders and delivers them to the appropriate hospital units.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
Experience:
- 2 years in food service preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to follow instructions and perform physical tasks.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cleaning methods, and equipment.

- Basic math and computer skills.

Job-Specific Duties:
- Assists with food preparation, including cold foods, baking, and grilling.
- Transports food and supplies between kitchen and service areas.
- Prepares patient trays and customer meals.
- Cleans kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Delivers and returns trays to patient rooms.
- Enters diet orders into the system and assists patients with menu choices.
- Organizes and delivers nourishment supplies to units.
- Operates cash register and balances receipts.
- Resolves customer concerns or escalates to supervisor.
- Upholds professionalism and teamwork standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
