Groundskeeper / Horticulture Specialist
Wake Robin offers year-round horticulture with banker’s hours taking a holistic approach – managing the aesthetics and supporting nature, including our wildlife. Our work environment is enhanced by our relationship with residents – which is fabulous.
This position will coordinate internal staff and contractors, work with residents and staff to develop a comprehensive approach to campus grounds and help present updates on plans and projects with the community.
The candidate should have at least an associate’s degree in horticulture or at least 5 years of professional horticulture experience.
Experience in:
- Perennial, shrub and plant identification and growing requirements
- Pruning and planting
- Common insect, leaf disease and fungi identification
- Operating grounds equipment
- Irrigation systems
- Hardscape principles and practices
Pay starts at up to $27.10 per hour
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Friday
