The Wakefield Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer. Pay rate is $25.20 - $35.91 per hour. Benefits: Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance, Extended Sick Leave, Paid time off, Shift Differential Pay to Overnight Shift. The Town of Wakefield also participates in the NHRS pension program. Full-Time Officers work four days on, three days off. Tattoos and Beards Welcome.
Applicants must possess a H.S. diploma or equivalent; be 21 years old at the time of appointment; possess a valid driver’s license; be a U.S. citizen; be in good physical condition; and possess the ability and desire to work with the public. Candidates are expected to participate in and pass the following areas: Physical Agility Test, Oral Board Interview, Psychological Examination, Medical Screen, Drug Screen, and Interview with the Chief of Police. Non-Certified applicants are expected to attend Full-Time NH Police Academy upon hire and obtain Full-Time Police Officer certification.
