FULL-TIME CERTIFIED
POLICE PATROL SERGEANT
TOWN OF GILMANTON, NH
The Town of Gilmanton is now seeking qualified applicants to work directly with the Chief of Police as a POLICE PATROL SERGEANT. This person must be organized, be able to provide direct supervision to patrol officers, be highly motivated, able to function independently, and work as a team. The Sergeant must be able to instruct subordinates in modern police methods & techniques, familiarize them with new updates in laws, and inspect the equipment and uniforms. The Sergeant must assist his or her Supervisor in the day to day operations and command of the Gilmanton Police Department. A Sergeant must be available for the Chief and Officers to get ahold of. Pay is commensurate with job specific knowledge and experience.

Minimum Qualifications: 3 years experience of Responsible Law Enforcement work, or any equivalent combination of experience and training demonstrating the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, Full-Time NH Police Standards Certification. Applicants must be 21 years of age, a U.S. Citizen, possess a valid NH driver’s license, have no felony, misdemeanor or DV convictions and an honorable discharge if a Veteran.
Must be able to pass all background testing.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Because of the nature of law enforcement, and the emergency call-back requirements, all full-time sworn members of the Gilmanton Police Department must live within 20 miles of the Town of Gilmanton. There is on-call time, potentially requiring the Sergeant to respond to the police department or a crime scene while off-duty.
