Description

Provides a safe and clean environment for park visitors in a recreational activities environment

Examples of Duties

1.Maintains lawn areas, mows, trims, edges, etc., using manual and power tools.

2.Cleans and maintains group picnic areas, tables, grills, floors and bathrooms.

3.Removes and disposes of trash and litter.

4.Cleans, maintains and repairs buildings, structures, tools and equipment.

5.Inspects facilities and equipment for safety and damage.

6.Maintains and cleans beach facilities, equipment and grounds.

7.Provides information and excellent customer service to park visitors.

Typical Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be available to work holidays, evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to perform physical labor for extended periods of time and be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
• Must work well independently and with others.
• Must be skilled in the safe operation of various power tools and equipment.
• Must possess good communication skills (written and oral).
• Must commit to a minimum 3 months work season.

Currently enrolled / attending high school, graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. With one (1) year of semi-skilled maintenance work.
