Location BENTONVILLE, AR Career Area Software Development and Engineering Job Function Software Engineering and Architecture Employment Type Regular / Permanent Position Type Salary Requisition WD2099780 What you'll do at What you'll do...Position : Quality Engineer IIIJob Location : 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72712Duties : Develops software quality assurance (SQA) test strategies for projects by overseeing development of test plans; determining exact testing scope for assigned projects; reviewing and approving data and environmental requirements; identifying dependencies and risks; identifying necessary project resources (for example, staff, equipment); and outlining quality assurance deliverables and deadlines. Leads quality assurance work streams and testing for projects by reviewing project requirements; writing and developing code to drive testing systems; conducting unit testing; communicating project status and issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders; evaluating actual results against expected results; troubleshooting open issues and testing bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs of project action items; and updating project teams regarding results and needed fixes. Troubleshoots critical defects in software coding by collaborating with software developers to review coding algorithms; reviewing and analyzing coding defect information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); developing testing plans to test code; establishing testing standards and processes to meet quality metrics; interpreting results to determine further action; evaluating errors to identify trends; performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; resolving code errors; and recommending code fixes or solutions for testing errors.Minimum education and experience required : Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in quality engineering or related experience.Skills required : Must have experience with : programming, designing, testing methodology, Automation, and Agile DevOps; object-oriented programming language Java; implementing agile and DevOps processes; different test methods and tools like JUnit, TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, or SOAP UI; Behavior Driven Development framework and object-oriented design; identifying bottlenecks and thresholds and using automation tools for appropriate solutions; providing automation solutions for web applications and API's using selenium, cucumber and rest assured and implementing automation frameworks; designing and developing automation scripts for web, mobile applications and integration with Shared Services by utilizing / applying current trends in Web technology with other computer applications and enterprise systems; testing principles and methodologies; scheduling and prioritizing work and planning a sequence of development activities that accomplish the planned targets; backend testing using SQL queries to validate data for different databases; and verifying deployment using automation scripts in different environments and creating build environments for applications using Jenkins, GIT, cloud Platforms, to support CICD process.
