Job Title: Yard Truck Driver/City Driver

About the Job:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Truck Driver/City Driver to join our team. As a Yard Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting trailers to designated locations while adhering to all regulations. You will also operate a tractor trailer to deliver merchandise to stores.
The ideal candidate will have a valid state-issued driver's license and be willing to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of job entry date. City Drivers must have an Interstate (Class A) Commercial Drivers License with Hazmat endorsement or obtain it within 120 calendar days of date of hire.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate tractor/trailers in a safe and correct manner by adhering to all regulations
- Transport trailers to appropriate destinations in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain records, logs, and forms, including those required by the Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Inspect mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of tractor/trailer unit before, during, and after trips
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
Requirements:
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Willingness to obtain a Class A CDL within 6 months of job entry date
- For City Drivers: Interstate (Class A) Commercial Drivers License with Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain within 120 calendar days of date of hire
- Minimum of 30 months experience working in a full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position in the previous 3 years
- No more than two moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol/drugs within the last ten years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last ten years
- No preventable accident resulting in a fatality or catastrophic injury in driving history
