Waldan Paper Services, LLC, located in Oshkosh, WI, is the leading Flexographic printer and Paper Converting manufacturer in the mid-west; for 40 years, we have been providing successful solutions and applications for our customers with both our existing product and new product development.
We are hiring a Flexographic Operator on 3rd shift for our Printing Department. This position will work Monday through Thursday (8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) and additional hours as needed.

The starting salary depends on experience.
Job Summary:
Set up and operate flexographic printing press to print designs or lettering on rolls of flexible plastic film, paper, and nonabsorbent stock by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Run a press machine in an efficient manner to meet production goals and deliver a product that exceeds the customers’ quality requirements.
· Adhere to all safety guidelines and machine operating procedures.
· Follow all instructions and procedures noted on the PFS listed in all job folders.
· Complete shift paperwork and checklists or enter job data into computer program.
· Mount printing sleeves on to printing cylinders and install in press.
· Take viscosity and pH.
· Inspect material being printed during production run, both visually and through x-rite.
· Roll changes and wrapping finished rolls.
· Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Three years of related experience and/or training.
· A combination of equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Good knowledge of printing equipment and machine operation. Very good knowledge and understanding of safety and quality policies and procedures.
· Basic math skills including add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Basic measuring skills including reading both standard and metric tape.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
· Ability to proficiently utilize a computer and the required software.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
· Ability to assist maintenance in identifying and repairing minor mechanical problems.
· Ability to work the required hours of the position and additional hours as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the following activities:
· Frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds;
· Occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
· Stand, walk, sit, stoop, climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl
· Use hands and fingers to handle or feel product samples; reach with hands and arms
· Frequently talk and hear
· Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
