As a Senior Events Manager, you will be responsible for the successful execution of written sales & catering agreements for large-scale and complex full-service meetings, conferences, galas and events as well as execution of all sized group room blocks, catering events and events as assigned ensuring the goal of exceeding expectations under Forbes and Waldorf Astoria Standards.

- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for services, vendor agreements, and affiliated group business, ensuring profitable outcomes.
- Manage customer relationships proactively, including room block management, food and beverage, event fees, and resolving concerns while maintaining profitability.
- Oversee event logistics, ensuring communication and execution across departments, supervising room set-up, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and inventory.
- Direct and monitor banquet staff performance, ensuring proper service techniques and etiquette, and develop action plans to meet performance expectations.
- Maintain a visible management presence during events, anticipating guest needs and ensuring the smooth execution of events in line with quality service standards.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and analysis related to group activities, including forecasts, menu proposals, event orders, and post-event evaluations.
- Participate in internal and external meetings, training, and goal-setting sessions, guiding and training operational teams to ensure high performance and service standards.

- At least three years of experience at a supervisor/manager level in guest contact areas of the
- Ability to manage and direct staff, handle multiple customer and operational demands, and work independently with excellent time management and self-motivation.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, industry standards, safety regulations, union rules, and local city ordinances.
- Proficient in quantitative data processing, financial forecasting, and space utilization calculations with strong analytical skills.
- Skilled in using computer systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, Delphi, OnQ, etc.) and electronic devices (copy machines, projectors, etc.) to facilitate smooth operations.
- Strong ability to read, write, and speak English to understand guest requests, proposals, contracts, and other written materials.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, table settings, and applicable health and safety regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for guest satisfaction, the ability to work under pressure, and maintain service quality during busy periods.
