Job Summary

development of large-scale implementation plans and training material related to Track and Trace. Responsible for day to day management of the Track and Trace program. Pharmacy Automation: Develops and executes Walgreens’ overall retail pharmacy automation strategy.
Leads the pharmacy automation program, which assists pharmacy staff in the physical fulfillment of prescriptions, with the primary areas of emphasis being filling and verification of prescriptions. Responsible for establishing pharmacy automation at Walgreens as a competitive advantage in the market place, by improving operational efficiency inside the pharmacy and by enabling pharmacy staff to have more meaningful and valuable interactions with patients. Leads and executes development of large scale implementation plans and training material related to pharmacy automation. Responsible for day to day management of the automation program.

Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring trading partners are authorized, which consists of validating FDA registrations for manufacturers and state licenses of wholesalers/third party logistic providers/non-Walgreens pharmacies from where we buy prescription drugs.
- Partners with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure Suspect Products (e.g., potentially counterfeit, etc.) are quarantined and properly investigated, and that illegitimate products are reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and not dispensed to patients.
- Leads and executes development of large-scale implementation plans and training material related to Track and Trace.
- Ensure DSCSA compliance data is received for each prescription drug procured from a manufacturer/wholesaler/non-Walgreens pharmacy and stored for six years.
- Respond to Requests for Information from state and federal agencies related to our compliance with the DSCSA.
- At industry-wide Partnership for DSCSA Governance (PDG) meetings, advocate for the pharmacy voice to be heard and lead one PDG Work Group to show Walgreens is a leader in DSCSA compliance.
- Develops and executes Walgreens’ overall retail pharmacy automation strategy.
- Establishes pharmacy automation at Walgreens as a competitive advantage in the market place, by improving operational efficiency inside the pharmacy and by enabling pharmacy staff to have more meaningful and valuable interactions with patients.
- Partners with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop and refine innovative leading edge pharmacy automation solutions.
- Continuously monitors the market (vendors, competitors, parallel industries) seeking out the most innovative pharmacy automation solutions and uses this intelligence to Walgreens’ advantage Support Pharmacy Process and Engineering initiatives to improve the pharmacy operation and experience.

Qualifications:
- BA/BS and at least 2 years of Experience in an analytical or pharmacy role OR High School/GED at least 5 years of Experience in an analytical or pharmacy role.
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills coupled with a high level of intellectual curiosity and a relentless desire to seek the root cause of business issues, develop solutions, and drive solution implementation
- Experience communicating verbally and in writing with groups of people that may include management level up to the VP level individuals.
- Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
- Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
- Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
