Walker Elliott is working with a success private equity oil & gas group in Dallas. They have an immediate need to hire an Associate and will be creative in compensation to attract that hire to join today.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth financial and technical evaluations of upstream energy assets, including analysis of production forecasts and operating expenses.
- Develop, maintain, and own complex financial models, incorporating innovative debt/equity structures to drive investment decisions.
- Lead the financial analysis, modeling, and valuation of potential acquisitions and business development projects, utilizing various methodologies such as discounted cash flow analysis and net asset valuation.
- Coordinate and execute complex, time-sensitive processes to facilitate successful transaction execution.
Requirements:
- 2 years of professional experience in the upstream oil & gas industry in a financial capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience from an energy investment bank, upstream operator, or private equity shop
- Proven ability to manage large amounts of complex data, with meticulous attention to detail and a track record of producing error-free documents.
- Proven upstream A&D and corporate M&A experience
