JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop, drive, and measure strategic communication plans supporting the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine’s internal and external goals
- Translate complex clinical and research concepts into clear, impactful messaging across diverse channels
- Produce engaging written, multimedia, and visual content for various internal and external audiences
- Partner with Media Relations for expert placements and media engagements
- Maintain an active digital presence and manage content for social media platforms
- Use data and analytics to assess communication effectiveness and optimize strategy
- Provide executive communication support and consulting for senior leaders and cross-functional teams
- Lead and manage projects independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, matrixed organization
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Liberal Arts, Business, Healthcare, or a related field
- 3 years professional experience in strategic communications and execution, preferably in healthcare or medical environments
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills to clearly communicate complex medical and research information
- Ability to manage full project life cycles, coordinate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, and utilize metrics/analytics to drive communication strategy adjustments
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience supporting executive-level communications
- Strong portfolio of written communications including internal and external content
- Previous work experience in healthcare, research institutions, or nonprofit organizations
