Walker Healthforce is seeking a IT Security Compliance & Governance Analyst for a healthcare client located in Detroit, MI. This is a contract position.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of business and IT operations against HITRUST CSF and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct process walk-throughs, interview SMEs, collect and review evidence, and perform control testing.
- Analyze root causes of compliance issues and recommend actionable improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address risks and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Document compliance with policies, standards, procedures, training, and controls.
- Prepare and present metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to track compliance performance and risks.
- Utilize GRC tools to manage assessment remediation plans and supporting documentation.
- Act as a HITRUST subject matter expert and support audits, assessments, and third-party reviews.
- Support EIS initiatives and foster a collaborative team culture.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of combined IT experience, including at least 2 years in IT security
- 3–5 years of experience in Information Security, IT General Controls, IT Compliance, IT Assessments, and/or IT Audit.
- Solid understanding of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) principles.
- Working knowledge of security and risk frameworks and best practices (e.g., HITRUST CSF, NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, COBIT).
- Experience in documenting governance requirements and preparing compliance metrics/KPIs and reports.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Master's Degree
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CPA/CA, or equivalent
