Walker Healthforce is seeking a IT Security Compliance & Governance Analyst for a healthcare client located in Detroit, MI. This is a contract position.
Start Date: ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Evaluate operations and controls against HITRUST CSF; recommend improvements
- Conduct interviews, gather evidence, and perform control testing
- Execute process walk-throughs and document procedures and findings
- Analyze root causes and provide actionable process improvement recommendations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to mitigate risks and maintain HITRUST compliance
- Create clear, high-quality documentation, dashboards, KPIs, and status reports
- Use GRC tools to manage assessment documentation and remediation tracking
- Act as a HITRUST SME; support internal and third-party audits
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 3–5 years of experience in IT compliance, assessments, and/or audit
- Familiarity with security and risk frameworks (e.g., HITRUST CSF, NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, COBIT)
- Strong analytical and technical skills; experience on an audit/compliance team
- Self-starter with effective communication and critical thinking abilities
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Master's Degree
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CPA/CA, or equivalent
