Walker Healthforce is seeking a Senior Patient Services Representative for a healthcare client located in Irving, TX. This is a contract opportunity.
START DATE: ASAP

JOB SUMMARY
- Back up for business office functions
- Provides work coverage for the various operational work units in the organization (This includes billing, collections, reimbursement validation, cash posting, mail handling, scanning, sorting, assembly, copying, faxing, and data entry functions)
- This position provides training to Associates on processes as required by the Manager to support new and existing Associates.
- Provides back up coverage and support for various positions within the organization as assigned by the manager
- Provides coaching and mentoring for associates on transactional processes assigned by the manager and all other duties assigned Other Information
- Ensure account resolution and reconciliation of outstanding balances for patient accounts
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- HS Diploma or equivalent years of experience
- Associates to have knowledge of Epic and/or Athena
- Experience with A/R follow up
- Experience with Appeals, Billing, Coding, and Insurance verification/eligibility
- Strong knowledge in claims and collections
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPS, and ICD 10
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 2 years of experience
- Experience working within a multi-facility hospital business office environment
- Previous Insurance Company claims experience and/or health care billing trade school education may be considered in lieu of formal hospital experience.
- Experience working with inpatient and outpatient billing requirements of UB-04 and HCFA 1500 billing forms
