Walker Healthforce is seeking a Snowflake Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to support a California-based public sector client. This is a contract opportunity with potential for extension/direct-hire after 6 months.
Hourly rate range: $50 - $60

Walker Healthforce is seeking a Snowflake Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to support a California-based public sector client. This is a contract opportunity with potential for extension/direct-hire after 6 months.
Hourly rate range: $50 - $60
START DATE: 4/7/2025
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years minimum experience designing and implementing data solutions, developing and monitoring data integration pipelines (AWS S3, AWS Glue, Microsoft SQL Server), designing and deploying ETL tools (AWS Glue), developing scripts to support data transformation (T-SQL), and developing Rest APIs for data integration (JSON, C#)
- 1 year minimum experience in database design, development, and security in AWS Cloud or Azure SaaS environments using container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker); performing data conversion for legacy systems and applications (Mainframe); facilitating version control and code management (Microsoft Visual Studio, Git Code Repositories)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, a Technology-related field

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue and Snowflake
- Design and implement scalable data solutions leveraging AWS S3, Snowflake, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Develop T-SQL scripts and stored procedures to support data transformation and processing
- Build and manage Rest APIs for data integration, utilizing JSON and C#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data conversion efforts from legacy systems such as Mainframe
- Ensure database design, development, and security best practices are followed.
- Work with container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker in cloud environments
- Utilize Microsoft Visual Studio and Git repositories for version control and code management
- Support cloud-based database solutions in either AWS or Azure SaaS environments
