Summary
WIT Logistics LLC/ Walker SCM is looking for a Warehouse Team Lead for our operation in Belleville, Michigan. We are looking for the right person who shares our philosophy of Operational Excellence on a daily basis. WIT Logistics' primary objective is to deliver the right part, to the right place, at the right time.
The Team Lead acts as a front-line extension of the manager's and/or supervisor’s authority. Helps ensure the employees are present and the work is completed on time. Provides support, training, direction and assistance to his/her team members on all areas of their assigned duties. Ensures control of system transactions. Will lead and assist in the delivery of premiere customer service, expediting customer needs, and system testing. Will also actively deliver process improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide guidance on day-to-day tasks, ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate and prioritize workflows to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Ensure the team adheres to all safety protocols and warehouse best practices.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory and company policies, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist in resolving issues related to order discrepancies, damaged goods, or other warehouse-related problems.
- Assist with organizing the warehouse for efficient stock rotation and space management.
- Provide suggestions for process improvements to increase efficiency and streamline operations.
- Implement best practices to enhance workflow and team productivity.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Additional certifications in warehouse operations or leadership (preferred).
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Computer literate: basic inventory control system, Microsoft products (Word, Excel).
- Safety certification may be required.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking tools is a plus.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Ability to wear protective footwear according to company/facility requirements, and other required safety gear.
Pay Range
USD $18.50 - USD $18.50 /Hr.Salary : $19
