Take Time Off

Once you’re hired, you’ll receive 44 hours of paid time off. After your six-month anniversary, you’ll earn an additional 60 hours of PTO. Job Summary

The Production Team Lead will be the main contact point for all production team members ensuring smooth team operations and effective collaboration to achieve manufacturing goals.

Duties/Responsibilities

·       Adheres to all Walker Tape safety policies, practices and procedures.

·       Demonstrate an technical proficiency and understanding of Production Associate – Level 1, 2 & 3 responsibilities.

·       Execute daily operations of work areas towards the completions of Work Orders Priorities detailed by the Production Plan provided by Supply Chain by scheduling and assigning personnel and resources.

·       Accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations to the staff as well as the supervisor, planning daily workload, coaching, initiating, coordinating, and making sure systems, policies, and procedures are followed.

·       Develop staff by orienting, mentoring, and training employees, fostering personal growth as well as company growth.

·       Improve workflow by monitoring steps of the process, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points, initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

Required Skills/Abilities

·       Excellent leadership and organizational skills while working with a diverse team.

·       Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to present information and interact effectively across all levels of the organization. Cultivate relationships across functions to achieve business objectives and drive strategic changes.

·       Outstanding analytical skills: ability to extract, analyze and interpret data.

·       Must have proven leadership ability, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with all levels of management.

·       A team player that takes responsibility and thrives in a team environment.

·       Detail oriented with the ability to multitask, manage time, and communicate effectively.

·       Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred.

·       Forklift certified preferred.

·       Demonstrates broad knowledge of manufacturing line techniques and may improve processes. Applies new technologies and techniques.

Education Experience

·       High school diploma or equivalent.

·       Previous experience successfully leading others in a production environment.

·       Experience with 5S, Lean Manufacturing or other related principles preferred.

·       Be able to read, write, speak and understand directions in English.

Physical Requirements

·       Ability to stand and walk for a long duration.

·       Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

·       Ability to handle physical workload.

·       General lifting (occasional heavy lifting), stooping, crawling, bending and carrying

·       Ability to be comfortable in an environment with loud noise and with moving mechanical parts.
