Key Responsibilities:
As a VDC Coordinator, you will play a key role in bringing our projects to life through accurate, coordinated 3D models and detailed construction documentation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating, managing, and coordinating 3D models and drawings for mechanical and plumbing systems
- Generating spool drawings, installation drawings, as-built drawings, and point layouts
- Collaborating with contractors and other trades during coordination meetings to ensure smooth integration
- Providing technical support to project teams, troubleshooting VDC-related issues, and updating models as needed
- Supporting both field teams and the shop throughout the project lifecycle
- Reviewing models and designs for accuracy, ensuring alignment with project specifications, standards, and local building codes
We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about mechanical systems and enjoys using technology to drive results. Our ideal candidate will have:
- 3 years of experience in mechanical and plumbing design and fabrication
- 3 years of field experience in mechanical or plumbing trades (preferred)
- Strong proficiency in some or all of the following: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Trimble SysQue, Trimble Fabshop, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Planner
- Excellent computer skills and a comfort level with using various software tools
- Strong attention to detail, especially when managing multiple tasks or working under tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively with a team
- A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop creative solutions
