Responsibilities
1. Production Management
Oversee all production activities to ensure ferrous and nonferrous materials are processed to meet company and customer specifications.
Focus on optimizing material flow within the facility.
2. Customer Service
Maintain exceptional customer service standards by ensuring accurate weighing, grading, and pricing of materials purchased at ferrous and nonferrous scales.
3. Maintenance Oversight
Manage preventive and emergency maintenance for facility equipment, including material handlers, loaders, stationary shears, Bobcats, and other machinery.
Ensure equipment is operating at peak efficiency to minimize downtime.
4. Personnel Management
Lead and manage the facility team, including staffing, performance evaluations, training, and development.
Foster a positive work environment that aligns with company values and goals.
5. Safety Leadership
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
Promote safety awareness, ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain facility cleanliness.
6. Communication
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure material pricing is accurate and shipments are scheduled to meet customer requirements.
Provide regular updates to upper management on facility performance and improvement opportunities.
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in the metal recycling industry.
Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
Hands-on experience operating metal recycling equipment, including material handlers, loaders, and Bobcats.

Pay: $66,814.00 - $72,953.00 per year
