Walla Walla Vintners is a legacy family-owned winery founded in 1995, known for its high quality, acclaimed Washington wines. As one of the pioneers of winemaking in the Walla Walla Valley, we understand the importance of representing our namesake AVA by delivering wines that are highly pleasurable and significantly over-deliver. We strive to be enjoyed by both long-time customers and those new to wine so that our story can be shared.


We are seeking a tenacious, enthusiastic, and positive Marketing Manager to continue to elevate our brand. This will be a multifaced role with its basis in digital marketing. We need to continue have a fresh and on-brand social media presence with a strong ecommerce push going on in the background. Other sales tools, both printed and digital will need to be created and updated. So, the ideal candidate must be able to manage contract resources to get pieces created and delivered on a timely basis. Lastly, the ability to produce 2-3 events in Portland/Seattle/Boise would be ideal.

 

The right candidate has:

·      A passion for the uniqueness of Washington wine, the understanding of our world class terroir and interest in precision winemaking to effectively communicate what makes the Walla Walla Vintners portfolio special.

·      10 years of luxury wine brand marketing experience

·      An eye for detail in everything you do. Wine is about the consistent delivery of a high quality product through attention to detail and our marketing should be the same.

·      Strong project management, copywriting and organization skills.

·      5 years of managing and creating email marketing campaigns.

·      Familiarity with the tools commonly used in the wine marketing space in Commerce7 and Klaviyo.

·      Experience with finessed sms/texting campaigns that yielded results.

·      SEO optimization experience to drive and capture new customers.

·      Ability to report out performance metrics on how the email marketing and social media campaigns are performing.

·      An eye for and ability to design for ecommerce needs in Canva.

·      Subcontractor network that is inclusive of experienced wine photographers and designers to be able to create printed and digital materials to support wine club, holiday selling campaigns and other materials as needed.

·      The project management of events, from location scouting, to driving attendance to day of execution.

·      A 4 year college degree

 

Work Environment

·      This job operates from a remote home office, ideally in Portland, OR.

·      Must be able to visit Walla Walla on a monthly basis for an overnight trip to capture fresh social media content.

·      The candidate must have a car with good driving record, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance.

·      Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and travel (includes overnight stays).

·      Must be able to stand for long periods of time and repeatedly lift 40 pounds.


Compensation and Benefits

·      Depending upon location and skillset, this could be a contract or a full time direct employment position. The mix of skills and time availability will determine the employment arrangement.

Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
