Qualifications
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced structural Welding Inspector to join our team, specializing in the inspection of construction projects across the United States
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding inspection, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Experience with inspection of coating, bolts, concrete and other structural components is a plus.
- Candidates will need to be open to traveling to different projects across the US weekly
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably on structural projects
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required
- Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and inspection techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to write reports based on standard templates
- Willingness to travel extensively to job sites across the United States
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
- May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
Responsibilities
- The first project assignment will likely be in all states across the USA
- Conduct thorough inspections of welding work on construction sites to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications
- Conduct coating inspections of structural components
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper welding procedures are followed
- Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) to assess the quality and integrity of welds
- Document inspection results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to project managers and other stakeholders
- Ensure all welding activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Collaborate with construction teams to address and resolve any welding-related issues or discrepancies
- Provide guidance and training to welding personnel to promote best practices and continuous improvement
- Travel to various job sites across the United States as required
- Perform work safely and effectively
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines
- Work overtime and weekends as required
