We have an immediate opening for a full-time AWS Certified Welding Inspector in our Tulsa office.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced structural Welding Inspector to join our team, specializing in the inspection of construction projects across the United States
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding inspection, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Experience with inspection of coating, bolts, concrete and other structural components is a plus.
• Candidates will need to be open to traveling to different projects across the US weekly
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably on structural projects
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required
• Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and inspection techniques
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to write reports based on standard templates
• Willingness to travel extensively to job sites across the United States
• Regular, reliable attendance
• Work productively and meet deadlines timely
• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
• May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
  
  

Responsibilities

• The first project assignment will likely be in all states across the USA
• Conduct thorough inspections of welding work on construction sites to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications
• Conduct coating inspections of structural components
• Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper welding procedures are followed
• Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) to assess the quality and integrity of welds
• Document inspection results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to project managers and other stakeholders
• Ensure all welding activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
• Collaborate with construction teams to address and resolve any welding-related issues or discrepancies
• Provide guidance and training to welding personnel to promote best practices and continuous improvement
• Travel to various job sites across the United States as required
• Perform work safely and effectively
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
• Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines
• Work overtime and weekends as required
