Wallace Electric is seeking a skilled Assistant Electrical Project Manager to support the Electrical Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical projects. This role involves assisting with project documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and communication to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet quality standards. The Assistant Electrical Project Manager acts as a liaison between various stakeholders and helps maintain the smooth flow of operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Support
Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and team members to ensure timely project progress.
Monitor project timelines and flag potential delays or issues.
Maintain accurate records, including project plans, contracts, permits, and progress reports.
Prepare and distribute regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
Assist in processing change orders, invoices, and purchase orders.
Communicate with clients and stakeholders under the direction of the Project Manager.
Support the team by addressing day-to-day project queries and logistical concerns.
Coordinate meetings and prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
Ensure work adheres to electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
Participate in site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
Assist in monitoring project budgets and controlling costs.
Review and track expenses, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment.
Track inventory and ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in electrical or construction project coordination.
Skills and Competencies
Basic understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and project management principles.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Team player with a proactive attitude.
Work Environment
Office-based with occasional travel to project sites.
