Primary Purpose: Coordinate and facilitate the administration of all local and state standardized testing and reporting. Organize district professional learning activities in relationship to testing and assessments in partnership with all department and campus leaders. Ensure security and integrity of testing materials and data in accordance with state and federal requirements.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Valid Administrative certificate preferred
Experience:
Five years teaching experience preferred
Three years administrative/instructional leadership experience preferred
Experience in development, preparation, and presentation of professional development preferred
Standardized testing experience preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implement procedures for ensuring security and confidentiality of state-mandated testing programs, college entrance exams and other assessments. Direct and oversee test implementation and monitor testing activities to ensure that procedures are followed and deadlines met.
- Stay abreast of all current information regarding testing, assessments, and accountability, and communicate updates to the curriculum and instruction department, campuses, and special program departments promptly and clearly.
- Implement the District’s testing program including local and state assessments, such as STAAR, TELPAS, Interim Assessments, Unit Assessments, Benchmarks, and others identified by the district.
- Oversee the administering, interpreting, and reporting of the District’s local assessment program, calendar, and procedures.
- Oversee the administration, planning and reporting of college entrance exams.
- Stay informed and provide new testing administration information including designated supports, accessibility features, and developments in assessment to the curriculum and instruction and special program departments.
- Complete and submit all required reporting related to special requests for state assessments.
- Coordinate all online testing procedures and verify on-site test availability with the technology department.
- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate the training for all campus testing coordinators and campus administrators to ensure consistency in the testing program in the district.
- Consult with district staff to develop, administer, and interpret assessment/testing guidelines and procedures.
- Provide timely support for campus testing coordinators.
- Evaluate professional learning needs regarding testing/assessments in partnership with the curriculum leaders in an effort to build the capacity of all faculty and staff.
- Identify, investigate, and address testing irregularities. Report discrepancies and disciplinary actions taken against students and staff as required.
- Attend Region 4, TEA, TSNAP, and Lead4ward meetings/webinars related to assessment and accountability.
- Maintain and ensure integrity of testing/assessment data. Ensure all materials and data are submitted within established timelines online or via ground shipping.
- Track and monitor location of test/assessment materials throughout the distribution, return, and storage process.
- Oversee campus testing security plans.
- Oversee and maintain the district assessment coordination software.
- Conduct on-site campus visits to maintain and insure integrity of testing/assessment programs.
- Compile, maintain, file, and secure all physical and electronic reports, records, and other required documentation.
- Maintain users in the state testing/assessment platform.
- Retrieve and maintain all testing/assessment results.
- Retrieve and manage new student assessment history.
- Upload state assessments into the Student Information System (Skyward) for the Academic Achievement Record for students and code individually as necessary in Skyward based on category.
- Import all assessment results (STAAR, TELPAS, SAT, ACT, TSIA2 and any other identified assessments) into Eduphoria, Eduthings, Testhound and OnData.
- Assist and collaborate with curriculum leaders on House Bill 1416.
- Work with PEIMS, Federal Programs and campuses to ensure the collection, processing and accurate PEIMS reporting for at-risk students and to ensure an adequate tracking of at-risk students.
- Assist with compiling and interpreting data as requested for guidance, administrative, and instructional purposes.
