Substitute Nursing Position
The Summer School Program is designed for students, ages 5-22, with needs that vary from academic to significant physical needs. The program will include academic classes, weekly social skills training, music therapy, crafts, indoor and outdoor games, field trips, swimming, and sports. The program runs six hours per day, four days a week, for five consecutive weeks.
Responsibilities :
- Administer medications
- Provide ongoing medical support, including first aide for students, as necessary
- Supervise program of students who are considered medically fragile
- Interface with private nursing staff of individual children
- Work daily with Summer Panthers program and, as needed, with District summer school programs
- Travel with classes for Community Based Instruction weekly
