Job Description

Auto Care Center Service Supervisor

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary.

Essential Functions
A n individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Provides assistance to customers in the TLE service area by greeting customers, creating service orders per company policies and procedures, s taging customer vehicles and assisting with workflow as necessary.

Provides customer service by acknowledging the customer, identifying customer needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, r esolving customer issues and concerns, and promoting products and services, while maintaining a safe shopping environment.

Provides Tire and Lube Express (TLE) products and services to customers by identifying customer needs, explaining TLE products and services, processing and performing customer service requests per company policies/procedures and timelines. Operating and maintaining service area e quipment, monitoring the TLE for environmental, disposal and OSHA compliance and ensuring customer safety and satisfaction.

Receives and stocks merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility and organizes and maintains facility by following company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing and retaining required paperwork, logs, and other d ocumentation.

Reviews and reacts to daily/weekly reports including Bay System Summary reports, service orders, markup/markdowns, procedure checklists, e quipment checklists, and compliance checklists etc.

Supervises associates in the TLE service area by assigning duties, communicating goals, providing feedback and follow-up, monitoring performance, teaching and supporting company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance, and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, job s hadowing, technician certification and evaluation of associates.

Maintains merchandise presentation in the Tire Lube Express (TLE) service area by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of- date goods, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink m erchandise.

Maintains the Tire Lube Express (TLE) service area in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly maintaining equipment per company guidelines, handling customer and merchandise claims and returns, zoning the area, ordering, arranging and organizing merchandise s upplies, identifying shrink and damages, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Identifies poor inventory practices and low in-stock levels in assigned area, and reports them with ideas for corrective action. Demonstrates and helps others with the safe and p roper use and maintenance of inventory tools and equipment.

Enhance Experience in the Store - Supports the store of the community merchandising concept and suggests merchandise to management that meets the needs of local customers. Plans for customer service and sales based on events outside the store (for example, weather, gas prices, local events). Stays current on competitors' prices, products, and displays to suggest to management ways to improve the store. Recommends ways to provide a convenient, safe, and pleasant shopping experience for customers. Shows associates how to address customer, merchandise, and store i ssues.

Leads TLE Operations - Ensures Associates follow Service area policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines and related laws and regulations when handling TLE products and providing TLE services, and does the same in own work. Identifies Customers who need help and shares accurate information with them on TLE products and services. Ensures others provide services to meet and exceed Customer's expectations while providing timely and quality services that meet and exceed company guidelines and does the same in own work. Recognizes poor or unsafe TLE equipment, services, and work areas, and corrects them and/or reports them with ideas for corrective action. Ensures TLE equipment is in proper working order and required documentation is complete, and uses these practices in own work. Ensures service writers/technicians recommend products and s ervices as needs are identified from a customer's vehicle.

Planning and Improvement: Plan for and Improve Team Performance - Plans work based on business priorities and explains to others what is needed to get work done. Identifies and oversees the tasks needed to reach goals. Looks for and suggests ways to improve performance and results.
