What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Operator position at Walnic Services?
We are seeking reliable and skilled individuals to join our team in Worcester, MA. This role combines assembly and machine operation duties, offering a dynamic opportunity in a manufacturing environment. We have openings across all shifts.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform operations to assemble and pack various products according to customer orders.
- Assemble low-volume, high-complexity products.
- Use hand and power tools to complete builds, including but not limited to drills, circular saws, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
- Operate packaging/wrapping equipment and palletize complete units.
- Set-up/operation of multiple mechanical or hydraulic brakes, presses, shears, turret punch presses, grinders, and spot welders to fabricate components for product assemblies to meet customer demands.
- Monitor equipment conditions and perform basic preventive maintenance.
- Change tooling/tooling parameters.
- Check completed parts to ensure compliance with Worcester Plant Quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to meet quality goals.
- Maintain necessary records for all operations, including 1st piece inspection and safety start-up.
- Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Adhere to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist team in achieving plant and department goals by flexing when needed.
- Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in fabrication of machine operation in light to medium industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and understand formal, informal drawings, and/or engineering drawings.
- Ability to use measuring tape and variable gauges, such as calipers.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.

- $18.00 - $24 per hour (depending on experience and role)
