The Warehouse Production Machine Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various production machines within our warehouse facility. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow instructions and maintain production standards. The operator will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate production of our goods.
Responsibilities include:
- Operate and monitor assigned production machinery, which may include but is not limited to: automated assembly equipment, packaging machinery, filling machines, labeling systems, and conveyor controls.
- Set up machines for production runs according to specifications, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and ensuring proper alignment.
- Perform regular quality checks on finished products to identify and address any defects or deviations from standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on assigned machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and performing minor adjustments.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and report more complex problems to the maintenance department promptly.
- Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, materials used, and any downtime or issues encountered.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and others.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the machinery.
- Collaborate effectively with other production team members, supervisors, and quality control personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist with material handling tasks as needed, including moving materials to and from workstations using pallet jacks or hand trucks.
- Be flexible and willing to learn to operate different types of machinery as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Skills/Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent and verifiable experience within a retail, restaurant, warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of machine operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and quality specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
- A strong understanding of and commitment to workplace safety regulations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40-50 pounds occasionally, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and recording production data.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation to our facility.
