Job Description
As the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire parts department, managing inventory, supporting service operations, and maximizing revenue opportunities. You will play a key role in optimizing Repair Event Cycle Time (RECT) by ensuring parts availability, improving procurement strategies, and streamlining operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the RV parts department.
- Oversee inventory control, ordering, and stocking of parts to minimize delays in RECT.
- Develop and implement efficient parts procurement and stocking strategies to meet service demands.
- Work closely with the Service Department to ensure timely parts availability for repairs.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers to negotiate favorable pricing and ensure timely deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting retail and wholesale customers with parts needs.
- Train and lead the parts team to improve efficiency and sales performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as fill rates, inventory turns, and revenue growth.
- Implement and enforce best practices for cost control and department profitability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Parts Manager in an RV dealership or automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of RV parts, accessories, and service operations.
- Experience in inventory management, procurement, and vendor relations.
- Ability to analyze data and optimize parts department performance.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in DMS (Dealer Management Systems) and parts software.
- Strong negotiation skills to manage vendor pricing and contracts.
- Ability to work collaboratively with service and sales teams.
- A passion for efficiency and reducing Repair Event Cycle Time (RECT).
