What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Teacher position at Walnut Street Day School?
- Plan, supervise and implement the program for the class in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the school.
- Ensure that the learning environment, room arrangement, activities and curriculum are age appropriate and maximize the potential of each child.
- Be responsible for the ordered arrangement, appearance and upkeep of educational equipment and materials in the classroom.
- Supervise all activities to ensure the safety of each child at all times.
- Work with the parents whenever possible to promote the understanding of growth and development of their child in school; encourage parent participation when possible; be available for parents conference when necessary.
- Use positive techniques for discipline in line with the schools philosophy, including redirection, anticipation and elimination of potential problems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
