HR Generalist
The purposed of this position is to support various Human Resource activities throughout the plant under the direct supervision of the local Human Resources Manager and engage the staff to build rapport and encourage positive employee relations. This position is key to the success of daily operations by supporting and managing staffing levels, payroll and being the point of contact for employee needs, questions and concerns while enforcing company policy.

This position is key to the success of daily operations by supporting and managing staffing levels, payroll and being the point of contact for employee needs, questions and concerns while enforcing company policy.
Responsibilities
- Administer full-cycle talent acquisition for facility assigned
- Attend local job fairs to promote the company and attract new talent on a regular basis
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding and administer new hire orientation
- Responsible for ordering uniforms and managing distribution of PPE
- Ensure accurate and timely review of timecards and processing of payroll
- Conduct exit and stay interviews with employees for the facility assigned
- Ensure terminations are processed on a timely basis
- Provide support to employees on various HR-related topics such as leaves, compensation and to resolve any issues that may arise
- Promote HR programs and policies to foster an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
- Assist in development and implementation of HR policies
- Assist with annual employee performance reviews
- Work with Environmental Health and Safety for Workers’ Compensation claims, post-accident drug screens and other activities as needed
- Assist with employee grievances and investigations
- Ensure adherence to applicable local, state and federal regulations and employment laws
- Maintain personnel records within HRIS system adhering to applicable retention laws and regulations
- Provide and track FMLA/LOA for employees
- Maintain company organizational charts and directory
- Run various reports as needed for headcount/turnover, etc
- Complete general administration duties including filing, scanning, printing of name badges and managing access
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Management or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of and ability to apply applicable state and federal legislation related to employment law and human resource practices
- Experience with HRIS systems
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- PHR/SHRM certifications
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of payroll administration
