Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant with 2-3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will analyze and control costs, optimize financial processes, and ensure accurate cost accounting records. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and analyze cost accounting systems to track manufacturing costs, including material, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports, profitability analysis, and variance reports.
- Assist in the development of standard costs and ensure accurate inventory valuation.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor production costs, identify inefficiencies, and recommend cost-saving strategies.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate costing and budgeting.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
