Police Officers The City of Walsenburg is seeking Police Officer applicants, with three to five years’ experience. Police Officers are responsible for various law enforcement and community service functions for the City of Walsenburg. Police Officers report to the Police Lieutenant, and ultimately to the Walsenburg Chief of Police. Police Officers work closely with the other members of a small Police Department in the city. The Police Officer position is a full-time position and requires a minimum of 80 hours per two-week pay period including possible overtime, evenings and nights. The annual pay range is $50,000 - $55,000. Applicants must possess a current POST certification, at the time of applying.

Duties

- Utilize surveillance techniques to monitor suspicious activities.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in law enforcement is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
