Full-time Receptionist/Data Entry
General Summary
Walsh's Ace Hardware which is a Family Owned and Operated for over 100 years. We are excited to have a position available in our Store for a Full-time Office Staff member. This position will primarily be doing Data Entry. Other duties will include answering the multiple phone system, office duties and little cashiering. The right candidate will be able to work independently and be able to multitask.
Data Entry
Assist with general office tasks.
Prepare daily deposits and paperwork.
Assist customers with issues with their accounts.
Accounts Receivable daily entering.
Customer Service
Convey a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette.
Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as team members.
Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
Other Duties
Helping plan in-store promotions.
Advertising monthly sales in the local newspaper and social media.
Register Operations
Follow all cash register transaction procedures.
Adhere to any program or promotion that may require implementation at the cash registers.
Experience
Posses a High School Diploma or GED.
Previous experience working in Customer service preferred.
Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
Physical Demands
Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs) and climbing.
- Education and Training: High School degree or G.E.D equivalent, some college preferred.
- Experience: Experience in an office setting is a benefit. Answering phones, ability to work with email and various computer programs is helpful. Marketing experience is a plus. Experience in a Retail setting is beneficial.
- Skills/Knowledge: Excellent organizational ability as well as knowledge of retail computer systems a plus. MS Word, Excel, QuickBooks etc.
- High degree of effective communication skills a necessity. The ability to multi-task, high attention to detail and the ability to listen are imperative.
- Demonstrated ability to keep an upbeat attitude.
- Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds, climb ladders as well as kneel, stoop, bend, reach, walk, pull, lift and carry.
