Position Overview : The Chief of Staff (CoS) will play a pivotal role in supporting the C-Suite executive team to ensure efficient operations of Walsingham Group. The CoS will act as a strategic planner, and operational leader, streamlining processes and fostering collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the defense contracting industry, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Planning and Execution :

Align with the C- Suite leadership team to develop and execute the company’s strategic goals and initiatives.

  • Monitor the progress of key projects and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operational Efficiency :
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth workflow across all departments.

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure organizational success.
  • Leadership Support :
  • Act as a liaison between the C-Suite and other staff members, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

  • Manage the C-Suite schedule, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Represent the C-Suite in meetings and decision-making processes as needed.
  • Team Coordination and Collaboration :
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability across teams.

  • Organize and lead staff meetings, team building and ensuring actionable outcomes and follow-ups.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to support professional growth.
  • External Relations and Compliance :
  • Assist in managing relationships with clients, partners, and government agencies.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and contractual obligations across the departments.
  • Support proposal development as needed.
  • Special Projects :
  • Lead or oversee high-priority initiatives and ad hoc projects, ensuring successful execution.

  • Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making on critical issues.
  • Be willing to backfill and support your staff when in need.

    Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably within the defense contracting or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of government contracting processes and regulations (e.g., NIST / CMMC / DCAA / FAR / DFARS).
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using productivity tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management tools).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Understanding of security procedures and compliance requirements across multiple domains.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of adaptability.
  • Ability to obtain a TS / SCI Security clearance.
  • Work Environment : This position requires in-office work, with occasional travel to client sites, conferences, or other company locations.
