Walt Churchill's Market is hiring a Part-Time Bakery Clerk for our Maumee, OH location.

Job Responsibilities:
Bakery Clerks report to the Bakery Manager and are responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers promptly, answering questions, and assisting with purchases
- Packaging, wrapping, pricing, and merchandising Bakery Department products
- Maintaining product knowledge of Bakery service case items
- Properly dating items, checking dates on all products to ensure freshness, and properly rotating stock
- Accurately recording phone orders in a pleasant, courteous manner
- Basic decorating of cakes, cookies, cupcakes, etc.
- Stocking bakery supplies to ensure proper packaging of Bakery products
- Maintaining general sanitation practices, food safety practices, and food storage practices according to store and health department standards
- Cleaning duties include, but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces, and washing dishes
- Communicating with Bakery Management when product or supplies are low
- Keeping sales floor and shelves full, properly rotating and facing product, and organizing as needed
- Maintaining donut case throughout shift
- Safely using equipment such as a bread slicer, oven, mixer, and dishwasher
- Following recipes and assisting with preparing cookie doughs, pastries, muffins, pies, and cupcakes

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous bakery experience, preferred
- Cake decorating skills is a plus
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, twisting, lifting, bending, and reaching
- Occasional instances of pushing, pulling, and squatting
- Ability to withstand working in both hot and cold environments
- Must be able to frequently lift 10-30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Must be available to work daytime shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays
