Walt Churchill’s Market is looking for a Part-Time Meat Cutter at our Maumee, OH location.
**Please note: this position is part-time and will offer approximately 20 hours per week, requiring weekend and holiday availability.

Job Summary:
The Meat Cutter reports to the Meat Department Manager and is responsible for finely and precisely cutting our high-quality meats. The Meat Cutter provides excellent customer service and caters to customers’ requests and preferences, ensuring a customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Prepare various meats and meat products, keeping the Meat case fresh and full
* Cut, weigh, wrap, and price product
* Make and use a cut list, control waste, and rotate product
* Take customer orders and/or special requests; fulfill requests, meeting WCM standards
* Assist with general Meat Department tasks, including but not limited to: assisting customers at the Meat counter, preparing burgers and marinades, and stocking product
* Safely and effectively operate equipment such as slicers, saws, grinders, and knives
* Maintain advanced Meat product knowledge
* Maintain general sanitation practices, food safety practices, and food storage practices within store and health department standards

Requirements
Education and Experience:
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* High school diploma/GED
* 1 years meat cutting experience required
* 2 years, preferred
* Portion cutting experience, preferred
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods of standing, walking, twisting, lifting, bending, reaching, and operating meat cutting equipment
* Occasional instances of pushing and pulling carts
* Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 110 pounds
Other Requirements:
* Must have weekend and holiday availability
