The Walt Disney World Resort Careers team is seeking a highly skilled Tree Care Specialist to join our Global Horticulture team. This critical role plays a vital part in ensuring the resort's landscaping looks great for our guests.
About the Role:
This position requires experience in tree production, tree care, tree pruning, and tree moving. The successful candidate will be able to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs and meet requirements for climbing aerial rescue guidelines. A valid CDL Class 'A' with air brakes endorsement is also required.
This field service position may involve working from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the resort property. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including horticulture support for the Global team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of tree health and appearance
- Conduct regular inspections of trees and plant life
- Develop and implement plans for tree pruning and removal
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless execution of projects
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience within Horticulture or Agriculture subject areas
- Able to speak and read English fluently
- Knowledge of southern tree species
- Valid CDL Class 'A' with air brakes endorsement
