Reports to: Shipping Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)
Department: Warehouse
Purpose:
- Prepares products for prompt shipment, verifies and inspects receipt of incoming shipments.
- Unpack and place materials on shelf in assigned location.
- Prepare outgoing shipments to include picking materials off shelf, packaging, labeling and processing of shipment.
- Responsible for accuracy of shipping documents and verifying receiving receipts.
- Perform duties in accordance with E-Z Red Company policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved.

- Reconcile shipments to invoice specifications, packing slips or other documents.
- Identify, report, and process problem orders according to established procedures such as reporting damage, overage and shortages to appropriate sources and following through to ensure problems are appropriately addressed.
- Operate forklift to receive, rotate, store and issue materials.
- Compare identifying information from both the computer and written documents to identify proper product, count, weight and measure of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Unload and unpack shipments from delivery trucks and boxes.
- Conduct regular product inventory and check contents of shipped product against purchase order for the purpose of verifying stock levels.
- Communicate with supervisor when product inventory levels are inconsistent or additional product is required.
- Package parts for shipment, prepare shipment and determine best method for shipping package.
- Attend work on a regular and continuous basis.
Additional Duties:
- Answer phones as needed using proper phone etiquette.
- Ensure appropriate safety and general maintenance standards are sustained in all assigned work areas.
- Represent E-Z Red Company in a positive and professional image and demeanor in all customer, supplier and intra-company contacts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and six (6) months of shipping and receiving experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Experience in computerized inventory control, ordering and materials tracking system operations.
- Knowledge of record keeping requirements, inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Forklift experience.
Notes:
- Work requires physical strength and agility sufficient to safely perform all essential functions.
- Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
- This job requires regular talking, hearing, sitting, using hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms.
- Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Work is performed in a warehouse that can be subject to extreme weather conditions and confined areas.
- Occasionally will have to climb stairs and work from high precarious places.
- Use of forklift, hand truck and dolly is required for this position.

- Ability to accurately inspect incoming shipments and compare to purchase orders.
- Must have the ability to be flexible and adapt to change readily.
