STEP Up Middle School Teachers (rising 6th, 7th, 8th grade)
Middle school Step Up teachers will develop lessons and provide high-quality instruction that meets the needs of recommended students. Teacher applicants must be Massachusetts-licensed and highly qualified in subject matter knowledge, implement effective instructional/engagement strategies, and use student data to inform instruction.
This program will be open to students enrolled at either Kennedy or McDevitt Middle Schools who can benefit from additional academic support (rising 6, 7, 8). Students will be engaged in literacy and math instruction through thematic units grounded in a core summer reading text with additional enrichment activities.
Dates of program - July 7 - August 1 (20 days)
Program Hours - 8:45am - 1:15pm
Total Stipend - $5,250 ($50 x 105 hours)
Salary : $50
