Job Summary:
As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you'll play a key role in creating detailed design solutions by leveraging your technical expertise. You'll collaborate with engineers, estimators, and clients to develop systems that meet specific project needs, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. From analyzing blueprints to conducting site surveys, you'll help bring projects to life, guiding junior staff and working closely with vendors to deliver outstanding results.
Responsibilities:
- Design & Documentation:
- Develop design concepts tailored to client needs.
- Create detailed designs and coordinate with other trades and structures.
- Analyze blueprints and prepare HVAC & plumbing calculations.
- Generate proposals, reports, and studies.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Conduct site surveys and interact with vendors to select equipment.
- Communicate with clients to gather project data and ensure successful execution.
- Lead and provide technical direction to mechanical designers and technicians.
- Attend project meetings and monitor progress.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in mechanical design, including HVAC and plumbing.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Fabrication CADmep, Revit, and Carrier HAP.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building codes and construction standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
Education & Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or technical degree preferred.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
- 5 years of related experience in construction, HVAC, or plumbing.
Working Conditions:
- Physical demands include office work and occasional fieldwork, requiring walking, standing, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and navigating job sites.
- Office work is in a professional setting, while site surveys may involve climbing ladders and working on uneven surfaces.
