Overall Purpose
The Community Resource Coordinator provides support and resources to empower students
to succeed in school and in life. Coordinators provide school-wide programming, conduct
targeted groups and work one-to-one with a selected case-load of students who need
additional non-academic support to succeed in school.
Essential Functions
- Recruit, train and manage a volunteer site team including school personnel and community representatives.
- Develop site goals as determined by the Principal and implement programming to address school goals regarding student success.
- Identify and manage a caseload of students who are identified as highly at-risk to drop out, and provide one-to-one support to help them overcome personal barriers to success.
- Develop relationships with the community to identify and leverage resources to serve students.
- Participate in school improvement initiatives, such as the Attendance Support Team, PTO, and other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives as assigned by the Principal.
Physical Requirements
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force as
frequently as needed to move objects.
Education / Training
Three (3) years of experience in a related field.
