MACHINE SHOP

Work experience requirements: 

• Setup, operate and maintain both CNC and Manual lathes and mills. 
• Knowledge of machining tools (drills, inserts, etc…) as well as feeds and speeds needed for efficiency and tool life.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Machine to dimensions and tolerances set by blueprint
• Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions to supervision
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow all safety regulations.

Education/Requirements 

• Must read a tape measure and other measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc…)
• Ability to read blueprint drawings 
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good analytical and mathematical skills to interpret drawings
• Ability to use an overhead crane
• Familiarity with computers and Windows-based computer programs is a plus
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing PPE (safety glasses, Mask, Steel toe shoes)
• Team player
