Details:
Wandering in Time Productions- the creative team behind some of the Pacific Northwest’s most well known outdoor immersive events, including the Oregon Renaissance Faire and the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire- are seeking a capable and dedicated individual to take on the role of Project Foreman for our infrastructure and theatrical site build projects.
About the Role:
You will be inspiring and directing a team of individuals to bring to fruition the ideas and projects of the event’s Executive Team. This role demands a leader with a blend of technical skills and management experience, dedicated to upholding high standards of safety and efficiency, while still holding space for creativity and out of the box thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
Working alongside the Event Producers to create Project Plans:
Collaborate with the required team(s) to develop and implement detailed plans that include timelines, resource allocation, and safety protocols.
Resource Management: Oversee the procurement and organization of construction materials and equipment. Assign tasks appropriately, ensuring optimal use of labor and resources.
Construction Oversight: Manage the construction process from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards. Address any issues or delays swiftly to maintain progress.
Safety Compliance: Conduct safety briefings and regular inspections to enforce safety guidelines and mitigate hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and volunteers.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and direct teams, providing clear guidance and support.
Communication and Reporting: Maintain open lines of communication. Keep accurate records of activities and expenditures for accountability.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction management, scene shop, theatrical fabrication, or event infrastructure setup.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in outdoor settings, with physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged activity.
Familiarity with construction tools and safety protocols.
Welding skills a PLUS!
OSHA 10 a PLUS!
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
