Warbird Healthcare Advisors actively seeks experienced consultants to be considered for an Interim Turnaround CFO role with hospital in California. Our ideal candidate will have a strong cost reporting expertise and extensive experience running rural clinics and Critical Access Hospitals preferably in the California market. This individual will serve as a financial partner to the CEO and propose alternative approaches to ensuring organizational solvency.

- Develop new and existing business financial modeling.
- Create service line PL statements based on net revenue and direct expenses for acute/swing bed, LTC, individual outpatient clinics, and home health services.
- Create new service line proformas.
- Evaluating future service line opportunities, ex. OP PT.
- Develop key financial indicator reports with national benchmarks.
- Provide hands-on cash management analysis and services.
- Assess solutions for ensuring continued operations, including financing options and partnerships.
- Mentoring, training of all key leadersincluding the Finance team.
- Perform ongoing assessment of Clinics, LT care for possible closure.
- Review and develop strategies for maximizing cost reports.
- Develop FYE '26 budget.
- Implement a productivity system for managers to staff according to volume metrics in each department.
- Review all current contracts; develop strategies for renegotiating and/or terminating contracts.
- Assess the expense structure and provide recommendations based on industry benchmarks.
- Manage the RFP process for selecting an outsourced company to maximize collections.
- Review; develop charge master strategy.
- Review managed care contracts; create MC strategy to maximize revenue.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or business-related field.
- CPA or Masters degree a plus.
- Minimum 8 years successful CFO experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in turn-around and Performance Improvement operational and advisory services.
- Proven financial analysis skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Strong understanding of key profitability drivers: revenue, expenses, overhead, and debt burden.
- Have a sense of urgency to identify and solve problems, implement solutions, and sustain the gains.
- CPSI experience preferred
