Job Summary
We’re seeking a talented and motivated Assistant Wedding Photographer to join our team. As an assistant, you will support our lead photographers on wedding days to ensure every moment is captured flawlessly. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in the wedding industry while working in a dynamic, collaborative, and creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead photographer in capturing high-quality images throughout the wedding day.
- Set up and break down photography equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Help coordinate group and couple shots by organizing and directing subjects as needed.
- Capture candid moments, detailed shots, and secondary angles that complement the lead photographer’s work.
- Act as a second set of eyes to ensure no special moments are missed.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with clients, guests, and vendors.
- Follow instructions from the lead photographer and adapt quickly to changes during the event.
Qualifications
- Basic experience in photography, including understanding camera settings, composition, and lighting.
- Familiarity with DSLR or mirrorless camera systems and flash photography.
- Ability to work well in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from event locations.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience shooting weddings or other events is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic photo editing software (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop) is beneficial.
- A creative eye for detail and storytelling through photography.
