Ward Media, publisher of NCW News, The Leavenworth Echo, Lake Chelan Mirror, Cashmere Valley Record, Quad City Herald, and the Wenatchee Business Journal, is looking for a reporter to bring local stories to life—stories about the people, places, and traditions that define our region.
What You'll Cover:
- Community events, from festivals to school activities, school board meetings, and city council meetings.
- Local personalities—neighbors, volunteers, and leaders making a difference.
- Human-interest stories that celebrate the heart and soul of our communities.
- Issues that impact daily life, from housing and infrastructure to education and small-town challenges.
- The unique culture, history, and traditions of North Central Washington.
What We're Looking For:
- A natural storyteller—you can turn everyday moments into engaging articles.
- A community-first mindset—you’re passionate about local news and its impact.
- At least 2 years of journalism experience (or strong writing skills with a portfolio of work).
- Curiosity and strong interviewing skills—you know how to ask the right questions.
- The ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and collaborating with a team.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
