We are seeking a motivated and passionate Sustainability Intern to join our team. This role will support the Director, Sustainability, to advance firm-wide sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in sustainable design related to architecture and/or interior design. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainable architecture and contribute to meaningful projects.

Your Role

• Collaborate with design teams to incorporate sustainable practices into project planning and execution
• Assist in performing energy and carbon analyses on materials and projects
• Help organize and participate in sustainability workshops and events
• Maintain and update sustainability databases and resources
• Assist in development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives across the firm
• Foster a culture of sustainability within the firm
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to architecture or interior design with a focus on environmental science
• Preferred minimum junior year of college
• Strong interest in sustainable design in the built environment
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience in the use of Revit
• Familiarity with sustainability software and tools is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, licensing, project specialty/complexity and work location. At Ware Malcomb, certain roles are bonus eligible.
